What makes you prefer to paint on wood over canvas?
Honestly, it’s cost and convenience.
There is a woodshop near my studio that has refused cuts of nice wood, some small, some big - and I just scoop some when I can.
The only downside is that I use a lot of white gesso to make base layers and k use it up quickly.
